Our first live burn wasn’t what you’d normally refer to as “successful” , “profitable” or “didn’t almost get my legs broke” but tonight we’re going to get back in the ring with a live blog of the Celtics-Heat Game 1. TIhe Heat are favored by 8, which seems high for an Eastern Conference finals match between two experienced teams. The betting public agrees as 54% are on the C’s. I’m going to go against better judgment and take Miami -8 along with these prop bets:

Miami Total Points over 94
Highest Scoring player : Miami -5.5
Paul Pierce points & assists: under 22.5
Kevin Garnett points & rebounds : over 28
Rajon Rondo points : over 14.5
LeBron James points : over 30
Dwyane Wade points & rebounds : over 30.5

And so we being episode 2.0 of the live burn, let’s hope it’s not our money that’s used as the kindling.

Boston has stormed back with a 35 point quarter to tie up the game (the scorekeeper just took 2 points off Miami after the late Anthony tip in.) Once Boston started hitting some shots, they seemed to gain confidence and could very honestly win this Game 1. LeBron James has slowed down after a big first quarter but this game is still anybody’s for the taking. Bets wise, we’re actually looking pretty decent thanks to Rondo having a decent 2nd quarter and Garnett continuing his solid play.  Pierce is only 10 points or assists away from giving us a loss and Wade is still 16 points or rebounds away but we’ll see how it goes. Over on Raw, the Tag Team Championship is on the line as two reggae dudes are taking on two other guys managed by some supposed cougar…we’ll see how that event is covered on ESPN’s First Take tomorrow…back to the hoops

9:10 Rondo has missed literally like 9 shots in the paint. Hard shots yes but we could have one W already. Missed shots make me want to do shots.

• 3 points from LeBron
• Wade 15 points & rebounds

It’s doable…maybe

10:00 Heat 7 points away with 3 minutes left. Wade blowing up in 4th but may run out of time.
10:03 3 points now needed for the over 94 but Miami slowing it down. If Wade can score the last 5 here, we’re looking at a rare sweep.(no jinx)
10:10 Check that jinx. Miami stuck at stupid 93 for a 6-2 night. Still I’ll take it. Miami looks pretty good and as it’s after 10:00 in my time, I’m off to dream land hopefully sleeping tight with some good bankroll built up tonight.
